ArtEast Gallery Berlin-Kyiv is very pleased to present the virtual exhibition View in, a journey into etchingroom1’s universe. The duo uses different mediums to depict the world the way they see it. Characters, situations, portraits, various moments of life caught through windows. Each of them allows us to have a “view in”, but to be observed as well.

Characters, situations, portraits, various moments of life caught through windows. Each of them allows us to have a “view in”, but to be observed as well.
Their work is a refined balance between reminiscences of the past and impressions of the present. The dialogue is particularly noticeable thanks to the USSR tiles they use for their mosaics and the scenes their graphic works represent. People locked in their rooms, looking outside, could it be us, in the pandemic? Individualities co-exist, echo each other, and build a form of universality.
